Whenever time permits--which, anymore, is quite seldom--I enjoy producing my own music. The genre varies from Trip-Hop, to Ambient Trance, to Experimental. Pictured to the left is my all-time favorite piece of music equipment: The Novation ReMOTE 25 controller.

Music production has been a hobby of mine since the late 90s. I've released quite a number of compilations since that time, a few of which I've made available here. Most recently, I've started working on some rough drafts for a series of Drum & Bass tracks which, upon the advice of a good friend in the industry, I may eventually submit as a demo to RAM Records among other potentially interested labels. That's still a ways away so don't expect any near future updates on that forefront.

Equally as fascinating--if not more so--as producing music is listening to it in high fidelity. I consider myself to be somewhat of an audiophile; my dedicated listening room is sound-treated and set up with a high quality two-channel stereo system:

Clean power being the cornerstone of any high-end setup, I'm using the Monster Power HTS 1600 power conditioner / isolator as my first line of defense against line noise. A PC-based transport unit delivers lossless data into the MHDT Labs Constantine DAC. From there, analog signal is fed into a pair of Emotiva BPA-1 stereo amplifiers; one powering a pair of PWK Designs prototype mid-range transmission lines, and the other--bridged--powering a prototype PWK Designs chambered / tapped transmission line subwoofer. As many of my guest listerers would say, the sound simply cannot be described in words.
